Bridging Borders Through Special Education: My Experience in China
Early in my career, I was honored to be selected for a competitive international internship focused on bringing evidence-based special education strategies to the Wucailu School in China. Under the direct supervision of the Special Education Chair, I collaborated with a dedicated team of interns to empower students, teachers, administrators, and parents with the tools needed to support early intervention in a school setting.
Our mission was multifaceted:

Workshops & Professional Development: Training educators and families on effective intervention strategies.

Redesigning Assessments: Ensuring more accurate evaluations of student needs.

Co-Teaching & Hands-On Learning: Providing direct support to students while modeling best practices.

Resource Development: I personally created a comprehensive database of teaching materials, compiled onto a hard drive for continued use.

This experience reinforced my belief that education is universal—while challenges may vary across cultures, the need for inclusive, evidence-based strategies remains the same. At Stepping Stone 2 Milestone, I continue this mission by helping individuals, families, and professionals unlock potential through personalized coaching and skill-building.
